Seasonal Launch Calendar

Seasonal products sell in a short window, and a listing added late barely gets seen before it closes. Pick the holiday and where you sell. This works back from the holiday to the date you need to be listed by, and gives you every step before and after it as a calendar you can download.

Defaults to today.

    Where these dates come from

Holiday dates are calculated for the year. Where a published number exists, the tool uses it and links it below. Everything else is an estimate: our working rule from selling seasonal products, shown so you can adjust it. Nothing you type leaves this page.

    Published sources

    1. NRF, Halloween data and trends (2026 survey): 49% of consumers said they began Halloween shopping in September or earlier.
    2. NRF, "Nearly half of Halloween shoppers to start purchasing items before October" (Sept 19, 2024): 47% started before October, up from 37% five years earlier.
    3. NRF holiday survey (Oct 16, 2025): 42% of shoppers planned to start holiday browsing and buying before November, and 60% expected to finish in December.
    4. USPS, recommended 2026 holiday shipping dates (Sept 22, 2026): contiguous US send-by dates for Dec 25 are Ground Advantage and First-Class Dec 17, Priority Mail Dec 18 and Priority Mail Express Dec 19.
    5. Etsy Seller Handbook, Seller Holiday Checklist (2025): Cyber Sales ran Nov 24 – Dec 2, with Oct 27 as the date for marketing consideration. Etsy sets new dates each year, so check the Handbook.
    6. Etsy Seller Handbook, How Etsy Search Works: a new listing gets a small, temporary boost that lasts "anywhere from a few hours to a few days" while search learns how buyers respond to it. Our two-week "settle" allowance is an estimate on top of that.
    7. Etsy Seller Handbook, Holiday Merchandising Guide: media outlets put their February issues together in November, so it suggests listing Valentine's collections in November.
    8. Etsy Seller Handbook, Planning for the Wholesale Buying Calendar: store buyers order for Mother's Day, Father's Day and graduation from mid-March to early April, and for the holidays mostly in September and early October.
    9. NRF back-to-school survey (July 14, 2026): 62% of shoppers had started by early July.
    10. The Knot, "When is wedding season?" (Real Weddings Study, updated May 11, 2026): 76% of weddings fall between May and October. October and June are tied for the most popular month (16% each).
    11. Amazon KDP Help, Book Status: a book takes up to 3 business days to go live, and a low-content book (journal, notebook, planner) up to 10.
    12. Printful Help Center, How long does fulfillment take?: 2–5 business days on average, before shipping.
    13. Insight Agent, Seasonal Decor Calendar for Etsy: a third-party seller guide with launch windows earlier than ours (Halloween, for example, from mid-June to the end of July). It cites no data, so we treat it as a second opinion.

Check your own demand curve too: Etsy's Shop Stats and Google Trends show when searches for your keyword start to rise each year. If they disagree with this page, go with them.
